This song has been released as a split-single vinyl 7" release with Taylor Project's 'At The Pokies Pub'.
The vocals and basic backing tracks for both sides were recorded live at the “Old RSL Hall” in Elmore, Victoria, on the weekend of May 11th & 12th, 2019. A fewoverdubs were added later onbut this vinyl single is essentially the sound of a two-band collective making music in the same room. And if you don’t listen too hard, you can hear the room too.

Where good folks go to play some blues
And you can crank it loud beneath a billion silver stars
Or sit back, roll a smoke and kick off your city shoes

In Dunolly there was a gold rush
The Welcome Stranger broke the bank
For fourteen hours that nugget was hidden under a blanket
And they had to bust it in three just to fit it on the scale

Cobb & Co. were there, waiting outside the coach office
They took that gold to the city and it never ever came back

In Dunolly there’s a court house
Where Thomas Johnson faced the crown
Went to the gallows pole for killing two old prospectors
And he never said a word, not even ‘fore the lever came down

They say Johnson suffered from a hereditary form of insanity
That made him turn on a sixpence, and cut those old men down

In Dunolly there’s a main drag
Where they keep on closing the hotels down
So I’ll just walk on by, and head back to the dirt farm
And hang with Alice in the kitchen, to spin some spices and sounds
